Set on the edge of Ashlett Creek, we’re a traditional coastal pub with over 170 years of history, looking out across Southampton Water. What started as a small beer house — and at one time a smugglers’ stop — has grown into a place where good food, proper pints and a relaxed atmosphere come together.

We’ve always been a spot for walkers, sailors and locals to unwind, whether that’s out on the quay in the summer or by the fire in the colder months. Now, as our kitchen continues to grow, we’re building on that tradition with a focus on fresh, seasonal food while keeping the pub exactly what it should be — welcoming, honest and full of character.
